SF50 or SF100? The same machine with two chamber sizes
We get this question a lot. The short answer: the PostPro SF50 and SF100 are the same machine. The difference is the chamber. The SF50 page describes it as having the same benefits as the SF100, with a more compact processing chamber for smaller production runs and prototyping.
| Item | PostPro SF50 | PostPro SF100 |
|---|---|---|
| Chamber | 400 × 300 × 400 mm | 400 × 600 × 400 mm |
| Cycle | 1.5–2 h | 1.5–2 h |
| External size | 830 × 1400 × 1830 mm | 830 × 1400 × 1830 mm |
| Consumable canister | 10 L | 10 L |
| Sized for | Low-volume production | High-volume production |
Both have RFID access, an HD touchscreen and MES/ERP connectivity, according to AMT’s brochure. Both run PostPro Pure, FA326 and FA9202 (see PostPro Pure, FA326 or FA9202: which consumable for which material?).
How to choose
- Parts per run. The SF100’s chamber measures 600 mm where the SF50’s measures 300 mm. If your parts or your weekly volume need that room, it is the SF100.
- Automation. Automated loading and unloading with DMS is for PostPro SF100 systems. See Automated loading for the SF100: what DMS does.
- Not sure? Send parts for a benchmark and talk to AMT about your volumes.
And for the desktop systems: the SFX and SF2X run 2 h cycles, and the SF2X has double the chamber capacity of the SFX.
