PostPro SF Systems

Built for production

The SF-series machines are designed for high throughput production environments that require reliability, speed and cost-effectiveness.

We transform rough, porous & non-functional parts into high-value, end-use products.

The PostPro SF-Series machines set a new benchmark on the post-processing market.

With the largest chamber, fastest processing time, and smallest footprint on the market, the SF systems are new industry standard.

A New & Improved PostPro SF

Your parts: sealed, strong and smooth

Vapor smoothing enhances the surface of 3D-printed parts, transforming rough textures into a smooth finish comparable to injection-molded products.

How is it done? The rough surface of a printed object is exposed to solvent vapors under controlled conditions. The vapor condenses on the part’s surface, eliminating peaks and troughs, and enhancing the part’s strength, aesthetics, and water resistance. This results in a smooth and professional appearance.

How does vapor smoothing work?

Part Conditioning

The parts are conditioned in the processing chamber to ensure they reach optimum processing conditions.

Processing

The vaporized consumable is injected into the processing chamber, evenly smoothing part surfaces under controlled conditions.

Curing

The parts are resolidified and the consumable is removed from the surface of the part, causing it to resolidify.

Drying

The parts are dried, ensuring that no consumable traces remain within the processing chamber. The parts are now ready for their end use application.

CONSUMABLES

AMT is committed to sustainability. Our vapor smoothing systems use proprietary, environmentally friendly solvents that meet all major health, safety, and compatibility standards. Coupled with the closed-loop technology, this not only ensures the vapor smoothing process is safe for operators but also guarantees that the parts are safe for end users to handle.

UNLIMITED APPLICATIONS FOR ALL GEOMETRIES

Vapor smoothing is a surface finishing process that enables a uniform surface finish for thermoplastic polymers.

Complex geometries and structures characterized by intricate features are difficult to process manually. Automated vapor smoothing systems operate under vacuum, allowing the produced vapor to travel freely, condense on hard-to-reach areas of the part, and smooth them evenly.

It is a vital step in 3D printing post-processing, as it transforms parts into smoother, more functional, and aesthetically appealing finished products.
