Production and Industrial

Re-envisage what was previously thought impossible through autonomous and repeatable processes to not only enhance performance but also reduce costs.

Post-Processing in Production and Industrial

AMT’s cutting-edge post-processing solutions offer game-changing benefits for production and industrial applications. With advanced vapor smoothing and surface finishing technologies, AMT delivers exceptional results, enhancing the performance, aesthetics, and durability of 3D-printed parts, making them ideal for a wide range of applications.

Key Benefits

01

Increased Mechanical Performance

Strengthen the structural integrity of 3D-printed parts and enhance their mechanical properties. This is especially valuable for functional applications.

02

Watertight Sealing

Create watertight seals on 3D-printed parts, making them suitable for applications requiring fluid penetration resistance such as pumps, electrical housings and even pneumatic fittings.

03

Longevity

Combining improved mechanical performance and sealed surfaces, parts last longer and require less maintenance helping to reduce costs.

Application Highlights

CASE STUDY

Food Contact Robotic Gripper

dti-robotic-gripper-formnext21-amt
The incorporation of 3D printed parts has become a reality with the introduction of vapor smoothing and metal-detectable powder from the Danish Technological Institute. The combination of the two means that bacteria growth is minimised and surfaces are sterilizable as is the case with this food gripper.

APP SPOTLIGHT

Industrial Additive Applications Enabled by Vapor Smoothing

Head of R&D at AMT, Dr. Konstantin Rybalcenko explains the advantages of PostPro chemical vapor smoothing for various end-use additive applications.

CASE STUDY

DTI: 3D Printed Ice Cream Extruder

AQ5A7832-1
Tetra Pak collaborated with the Danish Technological Institute (DTI) and AMT PostPro to reinvent an ice cream extruder, aiming to mix multiple ice cream colors in various shapes and patterns. The extruder, previously assembled from welded stainless-steel parts, was transformed using 3D printing with metal-detectable nylon and AMT’s vapor smoothing technology, resulting in cost savings, faster production, reduced part count and enhanced hygiene.
