Automated loading & unloading for PostPro SF100

The PostPro Digital Manufacturing System (DMS) by AMT is a modular automated loading system for the PostPro SF100 vapor smoothing system. It moves trays of 3D printed parts into the SF100 and back out, recognizes each tray so the machine selects the right recipe, and keeps vapor smoothing running unattended, overnight or around the clock.

Load. Smooth. Unload. Repeat.

A DMS cell is laid out around your PostPro SF100 systems: a robot loader, tray racks and the SF100s it serves. The automated loader moves batches of 3D printed parts to and from the SF100, for a lights-out vapor smoothing workflow at production volume.

  1. Load

Trays of printed parts wait in the racks. The automated loader moves each batch into the PostPro SF100.

  2. Recognize

Every tray that goes in is recognized automatically. A simple marker system lets the SF100 select the correct recipe for that tray of parts.

  3. Smooth

The SF100 runs its vapor smoothing cycle on the batch.

    Conditioning · processing · curing · drying · cycles of up to 2 h

  4. Unload, then repeat

The finished tray comes back out and the next batch goes in, so vapor smoothing carries on unattended, overnight.

The night shift, automated.

DMS was designed so vapor smoothing can run unattended overnight. AMT built it for high-volume additive manufacturing: more throughput, less labor and consistent results from the SF100.

What is the PostPro DMS?

The PostPro Digital Manufacturing System (DMS) is AMT’s modular automated loading system for the PostPro SF100. It loads batches of 3D printed parts to and from the SF100, so vapor smoothing can run lights-out.

Which PostPro systems does DMS work with?

DMS is built for the PostPro SF100, and it is compatible with SF100 systems that are already installed.

Can a DMS cell run overnight?

Yes. DMS was designed so vapor smoothing can run unattended overnight, and it is engineered for continuous operation, 24/7.

How does the SF100 know which recipe to run?

DMS recognizes each tray as it goes in, and a simple marker system lets the SF100 select the correct recipe for each tray of parts.

Is every DMS cell the same?

No. DMS is modular and can be tailored to your requirements, so each cell is configured per project. The layout on this page is an example.

How much does DMS cost?

Each DMS cell is configured per project, so it is priced per project, on quotation. Request a quotation for a PostPro SF100 with automated loading, or talk to AMT’s sales team.

Can I test my parts first?

Yes. Send parts to AMT’s free benchmark program: No cost to evaluate · Parts returned · Typical turnaround 2–3 weeks.
