The material

Ultrasint PP combines chemical resistance, durability and the familiar advantages of polypropylene, with good plasticity, toughness and low moisture absorption, a cost-effective alternative to PA12 for technical and functional parts.

Results

  • Surface roughness fell from 11.04 µm to 1.45 µm, close to conventional injection-molded parts
  • Microscopy shows semi-sintered material and porosity removed
  • Higher translucency and light transmittance
  • Minimal dimensional change, within acceptable tolerance limits
  • Tensile strength and elongation at break increasedPDF
