PostPro vapor smoothing systems

From the bench to the production floor.

AMT’s PostPro systems seal and smooth 3D printed parts in one automated vapor smoothing cycle. Every size runs the same four stages: conditioning, processing, curing and drying. Choose the chamber that fits your builds.

How it works

One cycle, every size.

The same four stages run in every PostPro system, from the desktop SFX to the SF100. The chamber size is what changes.

The AMT demo manifold in a PostPro chamber, as printed, then after a cycle.
  1. 01

    Conditioning

Parts are conditioned in the chamber to reach the right processing conditions.

  2. 02

    Processing

Vaporized consumable is injected into the chamber and smooths part surfaces under controlled conditions.

  3. 03

    Curing

The consumable is removed from the surface and the surface resolidifies.

  4. 04

    Drying

Parts are dried so no consumable remains in the chamber, ready for use.

Questions

Questions buyers ask.

Short answers. Anything else, ask an engineer.

Which PostPro system should I choose?

Choose by chamber and setting. The desktop SFX (190 × 320 × 190 mm) and SF2X (260 × 390 × 260 mm) run on single-phase power; the industrial SF50 (400 × 300 × 400 mm) and SF100 (400 × 600 × 400 mm) are three-phase cabinets. The configurator recommends a system from your parts and volume: Help me choose.

Which materials and print processes work?

PA12, PA11 and TPU on all four systems, TPE on the SF50 and SF100, and polypropylene with FA9202 on the SFX, SF50 and SF100. Parts from powder-bed and FDM printers: MJF, SLS, SAF, HSS and FDM.

How much does a PostPro system cost?

Each system’s starting price is in the comparison table above and on the pricing page. Request a quotation for your configuration, options, installation and care packs.

Does vapor smoothing change part dimensions?

In AMT's published tests, the dimensional change after vapor smoothing was ≤ 0.4%. Results depend on the material and finishing agent used.
