Vapor smoothing polypropylene: the FA9202 consumable

Polypropylene does not smooth with the same consumable as the polyamides. As AMT’s product pages put it, “polypropylene is smoothed with a dedicated consumable”. That consumable is FA9202.

What AMT publishes for FA9202

  • Material: polypropylene, with compatibility across multiple powder PP grades.
  • Technologies: SLS and MJF.
  • Usable in: PostPro SFX, SF50 and SF100.

The SF2X is not listed for FA9202 on the consumables page. If you run an SF2X and want to smooth PP, ask AMT before you plan around it.
