Vapor smoothing PA12: what AMT has published
PA12 is one of the most widely printed powder bed materials. It is listed as compatible on all four PostPro systems (SFX, SF2X, SF50 and SF100), with PostPro Pure and with FA326.

PA12 in the field
- ABConcept ran over 100 vapor smoothed HP MJF PA12 components through more than 2,450 km of the Rallye du Maroc (case study, Dec 2025).
- Protolabs produces flame-retardant parts in HP 3D HR PA 12 FR on HP MJF, vapor smoothed, with UL94 V-0 compliance (case study, Jun 2026).
Both have full case studies: ABConcept and Protolabs.
Grades
PA12 from different printers and suppliers is not all the same powder. AMT’s compatible materials lists name the grades that have been tested; see the documents page.
