Know your chamber: sizes and cycle times across the SF range
Planning a run starts with the chamber. These are the published figures from AMT’s product pages.
| Machine | Chamber (published) | Cycle |
|---|---|---|
| PostPro SFX | 190 × 320 × 190 mm (11.5 L) | 2 h |
| PostPro SF2X | double the chamber capacity of the SFX | 2 h |
| PostPro SF50 | 400 × 300 × 400 mm | 1.5–2 h |
| PostPro SF100 | 400 × 600 × 400 mm | 1.5–2 h |
For the SF2X’s chamber dimensions, see the SF2X product page or ask AMT.
The SF50 and SF100 are the same machine with two chamber sizes: the SF50 page describes it as having the same benefits as the SF100, with a more compact processing chamber for smaller production runs and prototyping.
Planning tips
- Think in runs, not parts. How many of your parts fit in one load, with room for the vapor to reach them, decides your throughput more than anything else.
- Leave space. A chamber packed wall to wall is rarely the best use of a cycle. See How part orientation and fixturing affect results.
- Large parts. If a part is close to the chamber size, talk to AMT before you design around it, and test it in a benchmark.
